Full Service Design
At Lisa Gabrielson Design, we specialize in turn-key and design-build projects. We work closely with our clients and their builders to insure that smart decisions are made from the start. Whether you are renovating, building a new home, or simply redecorating, we have the tools and staff to take care of you in every aspect of the job. While creating gorgeous, memorable spaces is our forte, we also believe that professionalism, efficiency and transparency are key ingredients in creating a successful working relationship. We love our clients, and look forward to getting to know you! Here’s how the design process works:
STEP 1: initial meeting
Kindly fill out our form below. We will contact you within 48 hours to schedule a phone meeting to discuss your project and our process and fees. If we mutually agree to move forward, a face to face meeting is scheduled at your residence, or at our studio if you are in the architectural/building phase. This is the time to get an overview of the project, to discuss the scope of work, budget, time frame, and answer any questions you might have.
STEP 2: design agreement
Once the Design Agreement has been signed and the retainer has been collected, we will get busy taking measurements of your home, and or meet with your builder and architect to get time lines in place. This is also where we dive into your personal style, your needs and wants, your family’s lifestyle to make sure we give you everything you dreamed of, and more.
STEP 3: DESIGN PLAN AND PRESENTATION
With measurements in hand and a keen understanding of your desires, the design process begins. We work hard to create unique design plans for your home which includes the following: floor plans and layouts, hardscapes, furniture, rug and lighting selections, custom furniture or cabinetry designs, window treatments, wall coverings, paint, fabrics and finishes, art and accessories. We will meet again at our studio to present our plan to you in a cohesive way with plenty of visual aids so you can envision what your new home will look and feel like. Estimates for all items are presented at this time.
If we are assisting you with a new build or renovation, we will work closely with you and the builder to provide creative ideas in everything from exterior choices, to trim, flooring, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, cabinetry, paint, appliances, and anything else that is needed during the building phase. In addition, we have trade accounts with hundreds of vendors to offer you unique choices at competitive prices.
STEP 4: ORDERING AND LOGISTICS
Once the Design Plan has been approved, and any necessary changes have been made, our Project Manager steps into gear, ordering all of the items on the list and making sure they arrive in a timely manner at our receiver. The merchandise is then inspected, stored until install day. We take the headache out of design, so you can sit back and enjoy the process.
STEP 5: INSTALLATION
This is where all of the hard work comes together to deliver the beautiful spaces we had envisioned for you! Furniture is delivered with care by our logistics company and delivery men, while designers are busy directing installation of window treatments, art, and furniture. We take pride in curating every aspect of the design to ensure a seamless process and a gorgeous home that we know you will love for years to come.
