Every project is unique, and every family has their own story to share. It is our goal to deliver beyond their dreams, whatever their style may be.

Lisa gabrielson KRAUSE | principAl designer

As a self-taught interior designer with a background in Art History, Italian fashion and antiques, my style has developed over the years from the many places that have influenced my life. From the beaches of California to a farmhouse in Tuscany - from a Rhiad in Marrakech to a hip hotel in Minneapolis, I pick up inspiration everywhere I go!

Born and raised in Minneapolis, I fled the cold at 18 for the San Francisco Bay Area and a degree in Art History from Mills College. Junior year abroad led me to Florence, Italy, where I lived for 17 years, started my family, and a business in children’s apparel and high fashion. It is there that I honed my talent for interior design, as friends who recognized my passion asked for help with their country inns and mountain retreats. Life in Italy was truly "La Dolce Vita"; punctuated by rich history, incredible food, sophisticated cities, exciting parties, breathtaking landscapes, and crusty patina contrasting with slick modernism at EVERY TURN. 

In 2006, I moved to Atlanta, GA and started an antique business, which quickly led to Lisa Gabrielson Design in 2009. Thankful for wonderful clients and steady growth, LGD opened its first design studio in 2016 in Johns Creek, serving clients in the Atlanta metro area and the 30-A area in Florida. In 2019, I remarried, and changed my name to Lisa Gabrielson Krause. Peter and I live in Milton, GA, and have four kids ranging from 21-26.

My aesthetic, regardless of the genre, leans towards a clean, classic core, symmetrical layout, and a sophisticated palate. Infusing one-of-a-kind pieces in fresh, unexpected ways makes the home unique. I believe every home should be special, and reflect the family who lives there. Above all, home should be comfortable. Regardless of the style requested by our clients, the end result is always cozy, for that is I how I want my home to feel.

CELANE SELVAGGIO, Design Assistant/Stylist

While new to the team, I have long admired her sense of style.  Celane’s background is in interior design and staging for homeowners and realtors. She also owned an antique business focusing on clean Belgian design. Celane is a master stylist with a keen eye. She assists the Principal Designer on large scale projects and leads our team of stylists in our Styling Services.

Carolyn Fisher, Assistant Project Manager

Carolyn comes to LGD following a 20+ year career in Human Resources. Most recently consulting and assisting employees with Global moves. She works closely with Joanne in the project management space ensuring that clients needs are met from ordering to install. Her attention to detail, organization and people skills are a welcomed addition to our team.

JOANNE DEERAN, Project Manager    

Joanne is the glue that holds us together. She started out as a neighbor and client (see Farmhouse in portfolio pics) and then became Lisa's first Design Assistant. Her excellent work ethic, attention to detail, and sense of style means that she wears many hats at LGD. Joanne is in charge of making sure all client merchandise is ordered and delivered on time. She also accompanies Lisa on installs and assists with accessories sourcing.

Stella oliveira, Design drafter

Stella came onto LGD team after graduating with an Associates Degree in Interior Design and brings with her all the technical abilities of space planning. She is behind measurements, reading architectural plans and accurately scaling furniture, fixtures and accessories for the best layout as well as assisting with sourcing finishes. Stella is very skilled with the amount of details she puts into her drawings and selections. She is a true asset to the team!

CYNTHIA JONES, Account Manager/Office Manager

Cynthia is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting as well as a Masters of Business Administration from Loyola University in New Orleans. Cynthia handles all accounts at LGD while making sure that all of the moving parts that make up a design project get accounted for. Her kind, calm demeanor, and fine-tuned organizational skills keep us on track, and keep clients up to date and informed.

Chase Krause, studio dog

At just 19 months, Chase is the youngest member of the LGD team and our best boy! He joined Lisa’s family last July and has been living his best life ever since. You can find him in the studio Monday - Friday. He is skilled in fetch, running around the yard, and stealing fabric samples from the studio.
